Bladder

Kidneys produce urine which is stored in the urinary bladder until it is excreted out from the body through the urethra. So urinary bladder is a reservoir for urine while the urethra is a passageway to excrete the urine out of the body. The size of the urinary bladder depends upon the volume of urine it contains while the length of the urethra is critical in reducing the chances of getting an infection.  If the length is shorter, the chances of infection are less. If the occurrence of urogenital tract infection is frequent, a proper check-up is important to identify the underlying health conditions causing the infection. These include prostatic diseases, bladder stones, and the presence of a tumor. When there is an infection in the bladder, dogs face difficulty while urinating and blood may appear in the urine. If the cause is diagnosed, immediate action must be taken to get rid of the blockage.
