Testes

Urogenital system in male dogs consists of two testicles within the scrotum. Testicular diseases in dogs include:

  • congenital defects e.g., cryptorchidism
  • infection
  • trauma
  • torsion
  • tumors

Testicular diseases cause swelling of the scrotum and difficulty inbreeding. Testicular diseases are treated by removing the testicles which not only prevent overpopulation but also avoid unwanted behaviors.
