History
In England, mastiffs are working dogs, also called fighting and guard dogs, for over 2,000 years. Mastiff dogs are seen in Asian and European records from 3000 B.C. Mastiffs are also known as the Molossian dog breeds and they are known for a famous ancestor.
Physical Appearance
The mastiff’s head is square and heavy, having drooping jowls and a small muzzle as well as a black mask near the nose and eyes.

Care and Grooming
Care and grooming needs are less in case of mastiffs. The short coat must be brushed once or twice weekly all year round. The wrinkles all-around face and head might need cleaning, and, like all dogs, they will need frequent nail cuts and tooth cleanings.
