Cardigan Welsh corgis are intelligent, high-energy dogs. They have such energy that they like having anything to do.

History

The Cardigan Welsh Corgi originated from the Teckel group of dogs that also created the Dachshund. The dog breed has lived in Wales for above 3,000 years. It had been introduced in an original form by the Celtic people who moved to Wales from Europe.

Physical Appearance

The primary feature of a Cardigan Welsh corgi is a strong, long body with slightly stubby curved legs. Cardigan Welsh corgi colors can be different, with masks usually similar to the outer coat.

Care and Grooming

Proper brushing at least one time weekly will keep the Cardigan’s coat remain healthier and looking perfect. Keeping the hair cut on the bottom part of the feet reduces the daily dust that a pet may bring into the house. The nails must be kept cut also.
